Just finished inFamous, was pretty awesome but not without its flaws. Theres some really tedious and mundane missions, it just gets really annoying on some of them. Also, its REALLY easy to die is this game which is more frustrating than anything. But it does do a lot right and story comes together nicely at the end and some of the powers are just damn cool. The city was well designed and the presentation was slick. It ran smoothly but maybe wasn't as pretty as some other PS3 titles, well worth a play though.

I am now online with my PS3, tried GhostBusters and Little Big Planet so far quite good. My ID for online gaming is MrDLG.
Now online one of the best things is the iPlayer in full screen, nice bonus. Will probably get my family a PS3 for Christmas now as it is the whole multimedia thing with Blu Ray, iPlayer and more. Also my mum had a go on Little Big Planet and actually played it instead of having no interest in games what so ever as usual.

Just sold my 360 and bought a PS3 with Prototype, FIFA 09 and Metal Gear Solid 4. I reckon it's a much better option. Gonne get it all hooked up soon and give it a bash.
I was under the impression you could buy the original Metal Gear Solid on the PS store, but apparently not. Doe anyone know if it'll ever be available?
Good man.

You can... sort of.
The Playstation Store is made up of 4 regions... something like that. Anyway it's on the America store and no word as of yet when it's coming to the Euro store. You can however create an American account (Have your main account in the UK obviously but create a sub-account for downloading stuff not available on Euro store) Simply find an America address (a McDonalds for example) use that and your away!
how do i create a sub account? thanks for your help, but i'm completely new to all of this

I'm up to the last level of Bound In Blood: Call Of Juarez. It's a really solid FPS with amazing graphics and while it's not the greatest most original game I fucking love it because it's got a Western theme, a movie-like score and a really good story. I think for me if you get an average/pretty good game and give it a Western theme I'm gonna' love it no matter what. There is also a quick draw system in it which is quite challenging but alot of fun.

I'm not embarrassed by any means. It was the best of the four on offer apart from COD4 and I already play too much of that on the 360. I only really bought it for the exclusives and the Project Ico goody that's coming up.

I am thinking about getting a new TV, will be my first HD Ready one etc plus I just got a PS3 a couple of months ago and the one I have at the minute doesn't have freeview built in so would rather have this when the whole digital switchover happens (I'm pretty crap with all this technology stuff so excuse me if none of that makes sense) Anyway a couple of questions...
1. I was just looking at HDMI cables on ebay for use with the PS3 and theres some as cheap as £1.50. How much should these cables usually cost and what is the chance that these cheap ones would be any good?
2. Any ideas what I can do with my old TV that would get the most money for it? It is about 2 years old, flatscreen/LCD Hitachi pretty standard TV

Got Tomb Raider: Underworld, Tom Clancy's HAWX & The Wheelman from Lovefilm.com today.
Wheelman is quite an exciting action game with some cool driving sequences and fast paced gameplay. The voicing isn't anything to write home about and the plot isn't even good enough to be considered subpar. I'm dreading what the film will turn out like.
I have only had a short play of Tomb Raider Underworld and it's the typical Tomb Raider game in all honesty. I'm not a big fan of the puzzle solving type games so really don't know why I put it on my rentals list so I probably wont be going back to it. Graphical quality, however, is good.
I had a go of the HAWX demo and it's an exciting game with some great visuals but haven't come around to playing the actual game yet. Might give it a go tomorrow.

Wheelman is beyond shit. its the ONLY game i own i have said fuck this and put it back in the pile never to be touched again.
Tomb Raider is 1 of the best Tomb Raider games i have played since the 1st and 2nd 1 all those years ago. Its fun and not as frustrating as the other games.
Im back on UFC now the fuckers cant quit! They have made submissions allot easier as well which is fine by me as i could do the old 1's.
Game i have played this week are.
Hellboy its painfully MEH, Its defo license cash in, but the fact it is Hellboy kept me interested.
Wanted, Fun but oh so fucking annoying. When you are in cover avoiding fire from 1 direction lets say north., you get the cam view of what ever is behind you (your back is up vs somethings so the cam is still pointing north), Some random bad guy starts shooting you from outside of your vision, which would be south and just off cam, rather then just being able to shoot him (he is 4 yards infront of you) you have to get up kill him and go back in cover. Stupid why you cant just blast him while still covering from fire coming the other way i have no idea.
Uncharted. finished this again as watching the demos for the 2nd 1 got me in the mood to have a re-vist on this. Amazing game and was overlooked big time. Still dont understand how a mini Army managed to make there way into the jungle thing.

I'd steer clear of really cheap HDMI cables, as the build quality can effect the quality of the digital signal and lead to more interpretation errors. But you don't need to spend more than, say, £20 tops. As long as a cable is built properly, they'll all carry the same signal and give the same result.

Yeah I’ve just had this discussion elsewhere. Be wary of the dirt cheap ones. The one they give you with Sky HD, for example, is rubbish. I ended up plumping for 2 cables (1m length) at £13 each and I’m very happy with the purchase.

Have you played Splinter Cell: Double Agent or Assassins Creed? Both can be picked up for about £7.50 each now but both have sequels coming out later on this year. Also the new Batman game has quite a bit of stealth in.

Yep, just the regular scart lead for the back of the TV, the HDMI leads are alot smaller and don't go through the scart socket.

I know I have missed quite a few treasures, though. The areas are just so big and I always take the time to look around and try to catch a sparkle but sometimes, the treasures don't sparkle for me. I actually found one by accident because I just happened to walk over it. Tough but fun game.

I'm not sure its worth the £40 but its definitely worth a rental. Fun game especially if you have someone to play online with. Me and my mate played a ODI and I was batted all out 147, ended up getting him all out for 140, he was 140/7 and I managed to take out the tail end before he could win. Amazing match that was.

On a different matter, I have been on that fab Batman demo and I have noticed that when you are in the cell block if you go into detective mode or whatever its called... there is a wall that says it can be blown out using some force yet you could't punch it through. I just wondered why they would add something like that to a demo when you can't get past it.
