Played Uncharted 3 Multiplayer for the first time (Only got a PS3 a few weeks ago, got on PSN this weekend) and found that I'm pretty bad at it.

DCU is also pretty cool.

I tried connecting my LG bluetooth headset to my PS3. It paired up fine to the console but it doesn't work when im playing Modern Warfare 3. Any ideas why that is?

I am wondering if someone can help clear something up for me? Sorry if this is a daft question but I am a bit thick when it comes to stuff like this.

I have recently signed up on the PSN & have been downloading old ps1 games that I missed (or never finished).

I am sure that I have read somewhere that it is possible to copy a game I am part way through playing on my PS3 onto a PSP and continue the game whilst I am away from home. Then, when when I return home, I can transfer the info over to the PS3 and continue with the game on the PS3 where I left off on the PSP (hopefully this all makes sense).

Am I correct in thinking this or have I got completely the wrong end of the stick with something else?

Not heard of that, but I would imagine it us possible, but only if you subscribe to Playstation Plus.

You can upload copies of your saves to the service, so you can probably log onto the Playstation network through your Psp, then download the saves to that.

I am not sure that works but can't see why it wouldn't.

Did anyone get Skyrim? Is it any good? I'm hearing loads of hype about it, but as I have never played any of the Elder Scrolls games I'm looking for a bit more insight.
TotalDebacle
I've played it for about 6 hours at the moment. Barely scratched the surface. Seems like a ridiculously huge game, and could be quite daunting for someone to start with, but it is a really enjoyable game so far.

If you've played similar ones you should be ok.
The King Of Swing
Skyrim is much better then Oblivion so far imo.

You can transfer game but not sure about the saves. I'm guessing its just the same as transferring the games, You need the same PSN account on your PS3 and PSP, then you plug your PSP into the PS3 with the USB stick and copy it on to there try it was a save as well why your there just go to your save and try and copy it onto your PSP. Can't hurt to try. You don't need PSN+ to do the game copy BTW.

So I went to CEX yesterday to buy the first Unchartered game. They had 3 in stock, but no cases because people have been nicking them. They still wanted to charge me full price for the game and told me I wouldn't be able to trade it in. If it was a couple of quid I would have bought it, but it's still £14, so I thought fuck it and bought some Blu-Rays instead.
Albi the Racist Dragon
Picked up Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood for £20 from Play, shall have a marathon session tonight.

Thats a bit shit. Especially when you can get the double pack of Uncharted 1&2 for about £20 online.

Will be getting Arkham City this weekend as even though it only took a week to finish Asylum was the most fun I've had in a game in some time. I'll leave MW3 until Christmas, maybe get some Unchartered in between if I've got spare money.

Well made the jump from Xbox to Ps3 since I cant be bothered to pay my xbox live subscription.

But having a very issues with BFBC2 not with the gameplay just colour they look awful on the ps3 compared to the xbox really dull. Any suggestions, one runs through VGA (xbox) while PS3 runs on HDMI.

Also with the "HOME" feature. I dont know if its my connection or home itself but its really slow and the graphics are quite poor and the background music keeps cutting.

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with there PS3 after the 4.0 update. For some reason when I turn my console off it always have to check my HDD when I turn it back on which takes around 10mins every time..
His_Airness
I've been having a blast on Daytona USA from the PSN, and it's as glorious now as it ever was, even has the original soundtrack. For £6.29 it's already proven it's worth for me, although the only negative being the trophies are far too easy, I've picked up 85% of them in 3 hour sessions. I've got Sega Rally Online Arcade downloading, so I'm hoping that proves to be just as entertaining.
BigJag
I was thinking about getting Daytona. Will do so now after the recommendation. Is it two player? Please report back on Sega Rally too.

I just updated last night. No HDD issues.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere that has details of what games are going to be included in the 12 days of Christmas (or whatever its called) offer which they running on PSN at the moment? I am just wondering if its worth stocking up on PSN credit over the next few days if anything decent is coming up.
BigJag
Warhammer seems to be the first one. Anyone have any opinions on it?

You can buy it much cheaper at retail, even with this sale.
BigJag
Payday is on there now. Tempted at £6.29. Know very little about the game though.

I'm looking to upgrade my current PS3. I currently have a 40gb old style model which I'm looking to sell to fund for the newer one. How much should I put it up for? CEX are selling the same (unboxed) for £158 which I think is quite steep considering how much a brand new slim 120gb one costs. I was thinking about £120. Am I short changing myself?
Wrestlingsnob
Not sure know many people (besides myself) who will be interested with this but I have just noticed that there is a section for downloading PS2 games on the PSN now.

There are about 25 games in there at the moment - including (and this has pretty much made my day) Godhand.

This will be getting downloaded tomorrow.

Godhand was the best of a very mediocre bunch, they certainly stretched out the meaning of 'classics' with a lot of the selections. International Kart Racing?
Thunderplex
I'm a PS3 owner now too! Took advantage of the Morrisons Sale. Just downloaded DC Universe-Can't believe this much gameplay is free.

Never played Godhand so I may give that a download when I get paid, it seems to be a popular game.

Wasn't there a big stink because IGN only gave it 3/10?

Fear Effect 2 is now up for download for those interested.

Little Big Planet Racing is on its way to the ps3, the trailer looks great, this could compete with Mario Kart - http://uk.ign.com/videos/2012/03/22/little...ncement-trailer

Looks fun and LBP games are quite fun.

Was Mod racer not Little big planet racing pretty much?

Saga all stars racer competes with Mario Kart as well I would say.

I just bought Dead Space 2 to play again after I borrowed it from a mate last year. I completed it then and went to load the save up for a New Game + but the game isn't recognising my save and all the load options are greyed out. I tried copying it to a USB stick, deleting it off my PS3 and back again and still nothing. Any ideas?

Edit: I just started a new game and saved and that one says "Dead Space 2 Standard" and my old says "Dead Space 2". So it appears a save from a different disk of the same game isn't compatable, cheers for that EA.

Nah its a near second but it just doesn't offer that level of fun that mario kart offers.

I enjoyed Sega Superstars Racing, and while not superior to Mario Kart, I'd say I enjoyed it just as much on it's own merits.

Is there a way to make downloaded PSone games look somewhat decent on PS3? Downloaded resident Evil and the graphics look shocking, just shite pixels. Seems like a waste of £8

The Splinter Cell HD ports are all £3.99 on PSN this week, picked up Chaos Theory as it's close to being the perfect Stealth 'em up.

At the end of the day PS1 games weren't made with HDTV's in mind. I'd advise you play them on an old school TV or alternatively on a PSP due to its smaller screen.

Question. I bought my lad a second hand PS3 today. The guy I bought it off has left his profile on there and he said that there is a full downloaded game on the hard drive as well as some points he purchased. Would my son have to be logged in as this guy to play the game on the hard drive and is there a way to transfer his points to his own account? If not, can he edit the profile name to something he would prefer and also be able to change the gamertag name?

I have a PS3 of my own but all I do is put a game in and play. I've never really explored the ins and outs of it.

I don't think you can transfer the PSN store credit, but you can definitely use the downloaded game on your Son's profile, same goes with demo's etc.

So he could use the store credit to download other games and then delete the profile and create his own? Seems a shame to waste it really. I don't know how much is on there yet, I'm waiting for my son to go out the house so I can sort it all out for him. It's a surprise birthday present.
His_Airness
I think it's because when you purchase something off there or enter a voucher code it sends you a purchase confirmation e-mail like iTunes do. So I'm guessing as he's already put the store credit on there, you can't move it to another account. As far as downloads themselves go, I'm pretty sure they just go in the downloads folder with demo's and games and stay on the actual hard drive, there used to be a rule about only sharing it across 3 different accounts but I think Sony abolished that so people weren't passing downloads across systems around the time of the hack last year.
Steve Justice
Cheers for that. Hopefully get to have a play around with it tomorrow and see what I can sort out for him.
