I'm getting GTA IV on the release date and I can't freaking wait. Last game I bought was COD 4 and can't wait for the map pack.

I've got Unreal tournamant, Resistance fall of man and Rainbow 6, I can be found online quite regularily during the evenings when all the Japanese players have gone to bed, as Larryboy1986.
I used to have Drakes fortune but sold it, it was a good game with a bit too much emphesis of shooting. The ending few chapters got a bit crap. It was also very short. I'd welcome a sequel, if a few changes were made.

I have the PS3 downstairs (its the 'family console'), but I never ever use it. Maybe if I finally buy a wireless router, and we get it hooked up to a decent HDTV (the TV its on at the moment is awful), then I'll start playing.

Imagine prince of persia.....but 1000X better with strange but good base story line that leaves it so perfectly open for a sequal. Addictive and fantastic. Gameplay is out of this world.

Eh, I'm not a fan of Assassin's Creed. I hyped myself up for it, then it turned out to be repetitive and boring. I didn't like the storyline either, and it was very linear considering it took place in an open world.
One question about the PS3, is it possible to use wired controllers with it? I have slight concerns regarding wireless devices. Thanks.

I've got Guitar Hero III, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, PES2008, Smackdown vs Raw 08, Lego Star Wars Complete Trilogy, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.
GT5 is taking up most of my time at the minute. Am currently about halfway through the A-Class races and enjoying getting my hands on some of the bigger powered cars. Some of the challenges along the way have appeared to be practically impossible to get a gold at though, so it's no pushover.
I need to get back into practice with GHIII though, and I need to find more time to play more Kane & Lynch, which is a superb game.

I was playing COD online earlier and I noticed there was no sound, and I could only hear people talking over their headsets (it wasn't the TV, everything else was fine on it), so I restarted it. Half way through loading up it crashed, I repeated and once I got back online the sound went after 5 minutes again. It's not the game, by the way, because PES wouldn't load either.
Anyway, after restarting many times it eventually wouldn't even load to the menu area, and now I'm stuck with the original black background and one of those fuzzy lines you get when it's booting up your PS3.
I called Sony and they sent me through some routine checks but nothing worked, and so they said they'd provide a new one if I couldn't get it up and running. I'm only really bothered about keeping my PSN and my level on COD online, should they be alright? Or will I have to start from scratch? The likes of my saved games I'm not too fussed about because they're completed anyway.

Worth buying for one feature that I can tell so far

Got mine yesterday!!! But have a problem - it wont let me play pro evo until i download the update to the game. Only problem is that its downloaded like 5% in an hour, so i'm not too up for waiting for the whole day before i can play it. Is there any way, like the system update, that i can download it online and install it via usb??
I didn't know that they could be used to stream video files from your PC! That's really cool, very pleased with that feature! No more watching TV shows on my laptop with the noisy fan kicking in all the time.

Okay so I decided to stop streaming because the video would stop if the connection was interrupted. I've bought an 8gb USB drive and I'm having mixed results. Some stuff will play fine - downloaded Simpson episodes work without any problem but other stuff (aXXo videos) will play for 10 or 20 mins and then stop, displaying a 'content cannot be played' message.
I searched for some info on this and some people use PS3 Video 9 to convert their files. I'm trying this now and so far it has taken almost 3 hours with 2 hours left for a 2 hour video file. My computer is a few years old but still, that's a long time for one file.
Any tips on how to get all videos working?

Anyone bought Haze or downloaded the demo of it? I must say it was stunningly mediocre after all that hype about it.
i'm having trouble with my online play, my ps3 keeps on signing me out, any ideas on what i could do.

As in composite to vga / hdmi to vga. My moitor, although not even a year old, only has vga input, not dvi. I know you can get hdmi to dvi. I've been scouting around lookinfg for a lead but all I can come up with is this www.hdfury.com
I'll just have to play on a 14" for a month.
