What PWG show was this Pac Vs AJ match on?

Steen and Generico had returned to PWG with glowing reviews of the man they had faced in September, and so Pac was lined-up for PWG's "All Star Weekend 4".........When the paperwork finally did come through, he jetted across the seas in time for the PWG weekender, where he was matched with familiar faces in Styles and Generico on Nights One and Two respectively.

UKHG top to bottom that was an awesome read. Due to work commitments in 2007 I have been to nowhere near as many wrestling shows as I would have liked but this poll and these write ups certainly have given me some renewed vigour in terms of getting to some shows. Thank you very much

Thanks for all the feedback. I think it's safe to say we'll be doing it all over again next year.

So, what have I learned from this?

- I may need to abbreviate some of the profiles next year.....

- the Scottish are damn proud people when it comes to getting one over on the English. Compared to the relative size of the Scottish pro wrestling scene compared to that in England, the proportion of people voting to represent the Scottish scene put the English to shame. Hey, I'm half Scottish myself, you know...

- Nottingham's NBW and Scotland's SWA sound like great promotions, from what I've gathered during my research. In terms of storylines and booking, they sound like exactly the type of promotions I would be interested in. Chalk me up as looking to get to some of their shows real soon...

- I may look to put more analysis and opinion in the profiles next year, as opposed to simply reeling off the wrestler's year. Obviously I can only really comment on promotions that I regularly follow (IPW:UK, 3CW, GPW, FSW, TXW) or those where information is readily available (1PW, LDN, RQW, NBW, SWA etc), but I feel it would be more useful to have some more of the "why" rather than just the "what".

- I need to start taking more photos at wrestling shows, so that I have some decent pics to use when this rolls around again (rather than getting to July and thinking "Hmm. I needs pics"). However, that would mean my hands being occupied by a camera as opposed to a beer.

- I mentioned other potential UKFF projects somewhere earlier on. Ideas could be something like a mini-UKFF 20 for UK tag teams, or a UKFF International 200 at the end of the year. Yeah, as if I'd write up full profiles for that one....

- The main aim of this whole thing was to give people something to think about, something to talk about, and something to agree or disagree about. Another aim was to us all to share awareness of particular wrestlers or promotions that we believe are worth checking out, that others may not have seen. Education.

Thanks again, and keep your eyes out. July 2008 will be here in no time....

EDIT: oh, I suppose it's not too important now, but I will get around to adding that final Doug Williams profile shortly!!

  • 1 month later...

Christ knows how Iceman finished above some of the names on this list when he can't have a decent non-gimmick match with anyone but Martin Stone.

At an All-Star show in Grimsby last night I saw Iceman beat Robbie Dynamite in a super-heated, very enjoyable match
