Sad news. He was involved in the first angel that i saw when I first started watching wrestling. It was the time when he attacked Hogan on the BrotherLove show and Hogan was stretchered out.m In my early days watching I always liked the tag team of the Natural Disasters. He had a long hard battle with the disease and sadly he has lost it. RIP Earthquake.

John was the first "superstar" wrestler that I ever met , must have been about 12 or 13 in my local town hall and I shouted through the window hours before the show and since no other fans where there they alowed me in and he made every effort to make it a positive experience making small talk and everything whilst signing an autograph. He laughed when i recounted the story to him years later in a dressing room. A genuinely nice, softly spoken family man who allways had time for fans and his extended family within the wrestling business.Thank you John for being one of the few decent guys in a business where manys authenticity is questionable.RIP

One of wrestlings true great big men. Could move around the ring very well for a big guy. As a single wrestler he was fantastic and I loved his stuff with Hogan and again with Yokozuna in 93. The face off between them two in the 1993 Royal Rumble is a fond memory of mine watching WWF TV as a kid. I mostly loved him as part of one of my most favourite tag teams in WWF. The Natural Disasters were a great tag team and despite what others may say these days, they were over. Their fued with LOD was great. Just to see two guys that would normally throw their opponents around and just couldn't due to the sheer size of them was a great draw in my mind. Rest in Peace, you will be remembered as one of my most favourite childhood wrestlers.RIP John Tenta.

Cant say it any better than that.

He was an absolutely immense man who seemed to enjoy absolutely everything about what he did, and threw both his weight ;) and heart into his work. I only saw him a handful of times, and never without a smile. Even when splattering Dixon jobbers.Rest in peace :)
