Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted March 16, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 16, 2012 Does anyone know of a way to ring America for cheap? Preferrably on a mobile, but landline as well. Â Is it an ongoing thing, or just temporary? I was pretty happy with my yahoo voice, which had a Jersey and an NYC number, and then rerouting, so that people in those states could call locally, and it would cost me

Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted March 16, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 16, 2012 If you've got Sky, their international phone plan was functionally unlimited - I know that when I was in the UK, and my wife-to-be was in the USA, we would rack up insane amounts of calling time with no penalty. Â Also, a lot of the mobile phone companies have very reasonable set-fee add ons that will let you call abroad - I was with 3, and for
Paid Members Up Chuck Posted March 16, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 16, 2012 It's our 3 year anniversary this year (July 25th to be exact) and I'm looking for somewhere nice to take my wife. Our first year we went to (glamorous) High Wycombe, but that was because I took her to Beaconsfield Model Village and I wanted to go to Hellfire Cave. Last year we went to Stratford which was really nice, went to the Butterfly Farm, rowing on the river and a meal. We look for things to do rather than the location, we like to stay in a B&B the night before and spend the day sight seeing and things to visit like the above. Need some ideas for this year, we live in Northampton so we're quite central but don't want to travel hundreds of miles for essentially a night and day out.  Where can you guys recommend?  EDIT:- Just been looking at The Heights of Abraham in Derbyshire. Looks like plenty to do there for the day. Anyone been? Any good?  Heights of Abraham is a fun day out, yeah. Me and the missus were camping just round the hill in Matlock so I can't advise on a place to stay, but the Heights has quite a few things to do, including a good cave tour. Views are spectacular, too.
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted March 16, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 16, 2012 Matlock as a whole is an absolute belter - the town itself is pretty nice, but I was brought up with Matlock Bath as a treat to visit, and I still think of it that way. In fact, the week I emigrated, the wife had to go out first to deal with some stuff, so I went back to Nottingham for a farewell to places I may never see again - went to Skeggy for arcades, fish and chips, and memories of my grandparents, and to Matlock to buy lots of mini British cookbooks and yes, have more fish and chips. Heights of Abraham is great, some of the mine trips are fun, the scenery is beautiful, and even Gulliver's Kingdom is good for a cheesy day. Â Oh, and little hotels and boarding houses are plentiful. kev2050
Does anyone know the name of a tv show, that i think was on 5 a few years ago, about a man that bought a car for a few hundred quid then kept trading up until he had a very expensive car? It was a weekly series.

Stone Cold Jane Austen
If that's the same thing I'm thinking of, the guy started with a paper clip and worked his way up by bartering to a house.

kev2050
Thanks for the replies, but this was completely about car dealing, and was a weekly tv series. At the end of the series there was the chance to win the car he had traded up to. I've heard about the paperclip story which is pretty cool. Steve Justice
I'm after some decent instrumental blues tunes. Mainly piano based preferably. Recommendations?
