Yeah, Duel's great. Watch it here, now:-

I kind of wish Spielberg would do some more films like Duel. I appreciate his mastery of big budget extravaganzas, but Duel is one of his best films, and it's so simple. I'd like to see him do another mega-simple, incredibly suspenseful thriller.

It's been ages since I've watched a Mel Brooks film, Robin Hood: Men in Tights used to be my favourite when I was younger but I have no idea how well that's aged.

Airplane! and The Naked Gun films are the other spoof films worth watching, recent stuff like Scary/Date/Epic Movie has been pretty poor in comparison.

Airplane is amazing but Top Secret always gets forgotten when people talk about spoofs and it has some of the greatest visual gags ever in it

Okay, due to the avalanche of requests (all one of them), I will bring this back tomorrow.

Just going back to my first post in this thread, I made reference to Six Shooter, the short film that Martin McDonough made before In Bruges. Watched it last week and it wasn't all that great, mainly because the lead character (not Brendan Gleeson) is such an insufferable shitbag. Still worth a watch, though, and it's on YouTube and worth 25 minutes of your time:-
