Just saw her most recent video for the first time last night, with MIA and that bint with the pink hair that I can't remember the name of and can't be arsed to look up. Best she's looked in years, pretty good track as well. Mind you, I liked that one she did with Timberlake a couple of years ago.

These are her best ones, though:-

Open Your Heart

Cherish

La Isla Bonita

So the music's pretty good, how about the acting? Was it THAT shit?

Well, for the most part, yes. She should have taken more support roles like she did in A League Of Their Own and Dick Tracy because she was good there. Then again, she was fine in Desperately Seeking Susan. Then again, there was Swept Away and Body Of Evidence.

I think my tea's ready now, so I'll finish up here with this (NSFW):-

You've broken my heart. Nicki Minaj is just lovely.

Madonna was very smart in constantly reinventing herself, nowadays that translates to collaberations with the latest new artists. I can't honestly say I've liked much of her stuff in the last 10 years or so, but I can definitely see how her appeal continues.

I think Madonna is great, and not in that faux "throw a Britney Spears song in my Top 100 indie songs to make it seem like my music tastes are totally open" kind of way. Songs like "Into The Groove" and "Lucky Star" are just tremendous pop songs that are fantastic to hear when slightly drunk and in the mood the dance.

Her newer stuff is not as good, but it's impressive how even her latest song doesn't sound completely terrible. Compare that with the likes of Van Halen's "Tattoo", don't get me wrong I'm a massive mark for David Lee Roth, and you can see that she can keep up with the kids. I suppose that has a lot to do with having songs written for you though.

Yep. Fantastic.

Show me a man that doesn’t like Vogue and I’ll show you a liar.

She's tremendous. Her 'Confessions' album is brilliant and Into the Groove is one of my favourite pop/dance songs of all-time.

I recommend the new Van Halen album. If you didnt like the first single off it, you'll be glad to know Tattoo is nothing like the rest of the album. She's the Woman is awesome.

I really like Madonna, too. Pretty much grew up with my Mam playing her CDs, so I'll always have a soft spot for her. I also loved Body of Evidence, when I was a young 14 year old who had a Long Play video recorder upstairs.

WASN'T, yes. To be honest, Immaculate Collection always gets a go every now and again, but its been spotty since Something To Remember (I think that's what it was called) and one or two songs off Ray of Light, although that was a bit hit and miss.

Eloquently put, ser. I was just going to write "knocked one out to her many times."

I always get Body of Evidence and Sea of Love mixed up. Both good movies to watch as a teenager though.

I thought Ray of Light was alright, I've never really been a fan otherwise though.

I think people making Wales the favourites are over-egging the pudding though. It should be a good game, but if England field their best squad and keep it tight, they'll be comfortable.

She's made some fantastic tunes.

Also, apparently contrary to everyone else in the world apart from the people that I watched with, I thought her show at the Super Bowl was great.

Agreed. I loved her earlier 80s music such as Borderline and Cherish. She's done well to keep reinventing herself but I've found her recent music to be really sub standard.

Although the music she's released over the last decade has been a bit hit and miss with the general public, even those that hate her must find it hard to deny that she works her ass off in attempting to stay at the top of the music pile.Hard Candy and American Life may not have been met with the same enthusiam as say Like A Prayer or Ray Of Light but one thing she can't be accused of is not trying, her Superbowl performance proves that.

As a Madonna fan I always felt her acting was judged a bit too harshly. She puts in a belting performance in Dangerous Game and Evita is fucking brilliant.Saying that Shanghai Surprise was duff.

Although her 90's and 00's stuff is some of my favourite(Take A Bow,Miles Away,Rain,Hung Up,Human Nature,Ameerican Life) the 80's were brilliant for her music output.Express Yourself,Into The Groove,Lucky Star,Open Your Heart and Borderline are top.

All in all Madonna is all kinds of awesome.

A genuine legend but I have found her very hit and miss for years now and I'll never get over that horrible cover of American Pie.

Her new single is shit.
