It's the British Flyweight Champion v the Best of the North West Champion at XWA Goldrush on Saturday February 4 when two of XWA Wrestling's most popular and most risk-taking stars do battle in what could be a thrill-a-minute classic. Who will win and emerge with both championships?

There's clearly a lot of respect between El Ligero and Jynkz. At War on the Shore VII last June, the Mexican Sensation ran to the aid of The Flying Scot as he was taking a post-match pasting from a jealous Ricky J McKenzie. Then Jynkz, who was special guest timekeeper because he was recovering from recent surgery, congratulated Ligero in the ring after his victory in a three-way over CJ Banks and RJM at XWA LastFight at the Prom. By virtue of that win, Ligero earned a shot at the XWA Best of the North West trophy, held by the face-painted high-flyer. But in order to add even more spice to what's bound to be an exciting match, The UK Luchador has agreed to put his British Flyweight Championship on the line too, meaning the match will be winner takes all!

Although Ligero has the edge in experience and is rated as one of Europe's very best, pound-for-pound, Jynkz has already shown during his short XWA career that he's a natural talent, a gutsy fighter and definitely a winner. Ligero will come into this match as strong favourite but don't count out his athletically gifted opponent. It will also be interesting to see who the Morecambe fans support. The masked Mexican star has been one of the most popular wrestlers in the XWA for years. But the Glasgow-born Jynkz has been living in Morecambe for years too, so may have the local backing. Or maybe the fans will be split down the middle, which is bound to add to the famed Morecambe atmosphere!

Speaking of NWDH, I see Dave Mastiff has been announced for GPW the night before. Three words: Goldrush. Needs. Dave.

It's come to my attention that GPW have mentioned us in their own show thread but have made two mistakes. Our show is XWA Goldrush 2012 and not XWA War on the Shore as they have erroneously stated. And Blackpool Blonds has no 'E' in it. They're not women. Honest.

Which therefore begs the question "Just why do their tights read BLONDES??"Is it:A) They think they're womenB) They can't spell

Probably both. Either way, the correct spelling will remain on GPW advertisements and graphics. That's just how we roll.

The answer is officially b). But a) could also be true.

Anyhow, to more pressing matters.

Dave Rayne and MVK some nice additions.Really hope I get a midnight start for my door job and I will be there :)

Agree, I saw them in a match against each other last year, it was fantastic, so seeing them with 13 other wrestlers will be great!Hopefully I wont be working that night, I can head over straight after the football
