[/indent]Hey guys here's the official thread for April's NWE & IPW joint presentation from The Troxy, London... I figure it best to keep all info about the show in one place and to give you guys an open forum to discuss the show and ask any questions you like. I will be more than happy to answer any questions so feel free to ask away. We'd also love to here who you would like to see on the show!

The event will take place in the nation’s capital London at the marvellous Troxy, a prestigious venue that has played host to countless MMA & Boxing matches over the years.

Based in East London, this is the perfect setting for a wrestling show and one which IPW:UK has wanted to run for a long time now, but until now it hadn’t been possible. With NWE’s help it is and it will now play host to our biggest show to date 2012:REVOLUTION.


The Card

We can confirm that the card will be put together by IPW:UK, an organisation who have a reputation for delivering the most exciting wrestling action seen anywhere on these shores, whilst NWE will be providing their expansive resources including production values that rival the biggest wrestling promotions in the world. We firmly believe that combined we will create the most exciting show seen on UK shores in many years.

With the conclusion of No Escape we now know that on Saturday April 28th the man who will be facing ‘Party’ Marty Scurll for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship will be ‘The Callahan Death Machine’ Sami Callihan.

Callihan who is on the roll of his life was victorious in two show stealing outings first defeating Noam Dar and finally in the main event of the evening besting the man many picked as the tournament favourite Zack Sabre Jr. if there was anyone who doubted Callihan’s credentials going into No Escape there certainly isn’t anymore as he proved himself to be on his day a world beater.

But will Saturday April 28th be his day or will it be the day of a man whom was also victorious last Sunday in a hard fought contest over TNA star Doug Williams: ‘Party’ Marty Scurll?

There is so much to be said about this match up and we are sure it will be said over coming weeks as the whole wrestling is buzzing at the prospect of two athletes who are at the top of their game colliding on the grandest stage.

Also confirmed this past Sunday was the fact that ‘The Human Hate Machine’ Dave Mastiff, after months of frustration playing the numbers game against British Heavyweight Champion Sha Samuels & his running buddies The Rockstar Spud & T-Bone will have his chance at redemption on a level playing field as following his defeat to Sha Samuels after a plethora of outside interference Mastiff laid down the gauntlet for a 6 Man Tag Team war on Saturday April 28th.

IPW matchmakers have confirmed that there will be Brawl At The Hall rules in operation which means it will be an elimination tag team contest with NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!

Who Mastiff chooses as his partners remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure the way Samuels, T-Bone & The Rockstar have conducted themselves in the locker room over the past 12 months means they have no shortage of enemies meaning that whomever Mastiff selects this one's going to be explosive!

Saturday 28th April will already be a history making occasion for more than one reason and you can now mark another one down in the books! For not only will it mark the return of women’s wrestling to IPW:UK but also the first ever Women’s Tag Team match to take place in an IPW:UK ring, which seems almost fitting giving IPW’s reputation of having the most exciting tag team division in the whole of Europe.

If you want to add a little bit more history to the occasion then we can as April 28th will also mark the start of Pro Wrestling Eve’s hunt to find their 1st ever tag team champions as four of their most well rounded competitors will collide in an all or nothing 1st round match up as the combination of Holly & Hannah Blossom: The Blossom Twins will go up against the pairing of ‘Dynamite Queen’ Nicki Storm & ‘The Perfect Athlete’ Shanna, collectively known as ‘The Perfect Storm’.

Pro Wrestling Eve match makers handpicked these two teams with one goal in mind: to make an impact and showcase exactly what women’s wrestling is all about.

The Blossom Twins are two of most experienced female wrestlers in the country having spent an extensive amount of time working for former WWE developmental territory OVW where each have enjoyed stints as Women’s Champion and are now looking to pick up their first win under the Pro Wrestling Eve banner. However their job will not be an easy one as opposing them will be Pro Wrestling Eve’s ‘Queen Of The Ring’ and a woman who is on a one year undefeated streak Nicki Storm and ‘Portugal’s Perfect Athlete’ Shanna who returning from injury after a 3 month absence from the ring will be eager to get back to doing what she does best as alongside Nicki she plans on creating ‘The Perfect Storm’.

The four women were selected by Eve as a showcase of exactly what they are all about and you can rest assured that all four will be going all out to prove that they aren’t simply women in a man’s world!

At No Escape many people witnessed a side of Mark Haskins that had long been forgotten, as ‘The Star Attraction’ called an end to his friendship with Joel Redman. Superkicking an end to one of the most successful partnerships in modern day British wrestling history.

Together they were The Thrillers, former British Tag Team Champions, they worked together, trained together and during their tag team title reign they even lived together.
Over recent times they had gone their separate ways and concentrated on their respective singles careers however from time to time they would reunite.

Word was that IPW matchmakers were looking to put The Thrillers together once more for an extended run to add some more depth to the most exciting tag team division in Europe. However it would seem that Haskins had other ideas.

Known for some of the most (no pun intended) thrilling matches alongside one another on Saturday April 28th they will look to do what they’ve done time and time before and that’s steal the show. However this time they do it on opposing sides of the ring.

Again as we approach the date more in depth analysis will follow including comments from both men. But no words can do true justice to the potential of this match up. Saturday April 28th it’s going to be a case of best friends, better enemies as the former tag team champions collide in a match that is more than fitting of the occasion!

As was announced exclusively in Fighting Spirit Magazine, Revolution will be kick started by a high stakes ladder match with everything to play for! Up for grabs for the victor is any match of his choosing in an IPW:UK or NWE ring anytime in the next 12 months. This fact alone combined with the fact that this match will take place on one of the single most important shows in modern day British wrestling history all but guarantees that this one will be all kinds of exciting!

There is a full in depth analysis of each of the competitors to come but here is a list of those confirmed to be involved in the contest:

‘M-Dogg 20’ Matt Cross: The spectacular high flyer from Cleveland Ohio, this will be Cross’ first European appearance since he was featured on last year’s WWE Tough Enough. Known for his innovative offence and his freakish athletic ability there is nothing that this young man isn’t capable of.

Supernova : The masked luchadore from Mexico City, Mexico. Described by NWE management as ‘the jewel in their crown’ and for good reason. Supernova is a risk taker who doesn’t know the meaning of the word fear. He has wowed crowds around the globe and now can’t wait to do the same in front of the UK fans. Defying gravity at every opportunity Supernova is the true definition of what this contest is all about!

Kris Travis: A member of the Project Ego tag team, but equally renowned for his singles work. Travis is a competitor who has an extremely high opinion of himself and his capabilities within the ring. Saturday April 28th will be his opportunity to prove to the world that he can hang with elite calibre competition. But will he be thinking about his own personal gain or the future of The Project Ego tag team?

The Lion Kid: Roaring his way in to competition. The Lion Kid is a young competitor who has come into his own as of late. A standout on Dragongate UK and IPW:UK shows the Kid came within a hairs length of scoring a huge upset capturing the British Heavyweight Championship at IPW’s 7 Year Anniversary Show. Victory here could allow him another opportunity to make that dream a reality. You can bet that come Saturday April 28th his ‘pride’ will be out in full force as they will him on to victory.

Martin Kirby: Also a member of the Project Ego, Kirby has had several high profile singles contests as of late against the likes of Nigel McGuinness and Finlay. There is a reason so much faith has been put into him by promoters around the country and that is that on his day he can mix it up with the best in the world. On Saturday April 28th he will be doing just that, so he better hope it’s his day!

Noam Dar: Scotland’s Noam Dar is writing headlines wherever he has gone and has quite simply been a revelation since first stepping into an IPW:UK ring at the 7 Year Anniversary Show. Dar is a personification of everything IPW:UK stands for ‘pro wrestling at its best’ and Saturday April 28th will be just another opportunity for him to once more write all the headlines.

With the sheer level of talent involved and their drive and ambition to steal the show you can be expecting moments that will live on forever in the minds of everyone in attendance. This could well be one of those matches they are talking about for years to come!

It's a shame it's the afternoon. I've got the same problem. not sure I'm up for missing what is likley to be Coventrys last match in the championship for a long time!

I was very tempted by this show but agree ticket prices are a bit on the high side......I think that special offer on front row tickets might need to be extended past the new year considering how many tickets have been sold so far.....

There's another UK name announced in January's Fighting Spirit Magazine. You can expect plenty more updates over the coming weeks.

In terms of international names there will be more for sure but as far as how many it's all dependant on who we sign. As we get into the New Year everything should become a lot clearer.
