I know there was a thread on here a while back saying how Sky had got all the rights to show HBO content but I thought I would start a fresh topic as opposed to bumping it.

A new channel will be launched in the UK for all Sky customers showing HBO content. It is launched the 1st of February and it looks pretty epic.

What shows are you looking forward to seeing (providing you haven't downloaded them)?

Any of you downloaders out there feel less inclined to download and more inclined to watch on TV?

Oz and Deadwood re-runs please!.

Edit. The upcoming George Foreman HBO film with Ernest Miller as the lead would be nice too.

I hate watching stuff on my laptop so hopefully seeing Treme, Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire on TV will be good. Also I read it is the home of HBO and Mad Men, so Sky clearly got the rights from BBC!

As a Virgin Media customer I can honestly say, I'm fucking gutted. I'd happily pay extra for this channel.

I'm looking forward to rewatching the Sopranos, as i'm sure I missed a few episodes here & there.

As has already been mentioned, OZ in HD would be nice.

The new series of Curb Your Enthusiasm would be most welcome.

I can't wait for this channel to be honest. I know its barbaric in these days, but I rarely download TV programmes and tend to wait for them to come on TV, and with a lot of stuff like Lost and 24, it's not mattered with a couple of days wait. Because of that I haven't seen Boardwalk Empire or Treme yet, and those look really good. It's not all HBO stuff though, Mad Men from AMC will be shown next year from the start which is smashing, I only caught the first series of that when it was repeated last year. Apparently they might also have stuff from Showtime as well in the future.

I remember seeing some promo stuff for the channel late last year, and it said they would be repeating the entire series' of The Wire, X Files and The Sopranos later on, but I don't think there was any mention of Oz. They've got the entire back catalogue rights, so I'd imagine it'll pop up eventually.

Boardwalk Empire is the main draw for me, but I'd love them to show The Wire from the start. I've begun watching that multiple times, then miss one episode and it's game over, return to start.

If you're having that, i'll go with The Miz making an appearance as Les Miz, complete with costume and songs.

Also, Roman Reigns needs to rip off Khal Drogo and become a Dothraki warrior.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Treme and Broadwalk Empire are like as well as the new season of Entourage. I'm also looking forward to watching season four of Weeds, which is finally going to be shown in this country, though it's funny that it's on a Sky channel as they were the ones who didn't pick it up again after showing the third season a while ago.

If they're showing AMC stuff I hope we get the next season of Breaking Bad. I can't fucking wait for that one.
