Got some live results and notes coming in from this one, courtesy of Gadgetboi:

- Gadge is impressed with the set-up and the "pretty much sold out" crowd of 200ish.

- The Predators beat Robbie X & LJ Heron in 11:02 with 'Ants Go Marching' on Heron. "Good match with some legal man issues at the end". Oh, gadge...

- Predators have announced a House of Pain invasion of Southside, and Robbie X has announced Greg Burridge as his tag partner for the 01/04/2012 show in Huntingdon.

- Ego Dragon beat Bengal Tiger with a kick to the head at 6:55. Boooooo. "That Ego Dragon is a disgrace" says Gadge. You tell 'im.

- Nikki Storm beat Erin Angel by half-crab submission in 12:51. "Not a total mess like the last Southside womens' match I saw, but way too long"

- Kris Travis pinned Mark Haskins in 13:06 by grabbing the tights. Gadge remarks that this was the "best match so far", but also notes that heels have won all 4 matches straight so far. Interval now.

- Martin Kirby beat RJ Singh in 8:55 of a 4-way which also featured UK Kid and Leon Shah. "Finally one for the good guys", he says.

- Mad Man Manson beat Price Mohmed Ameen in 9:31 of what Gadgetchap reports as the usual silliness, but good fun. He's apparently "really enjoying the show". That's good, I guess.

- Rockstar Spud challenging T-Bone for the Southside Championship goes 11:56 and is described as a "good, sports entertainment-heavy main event". Spud brought The Predators to ringside for support, but T-Bone beat him with a choke-spinebuster to retain the title.

Show's done. From what Gadge describes, it sounds to me to be simple, effective and fun.

Show was indeed good, I certainly preferred this to the two shows I've seen at Gym Combat in Nottingham.

I'm obviously not going to the Huntingdon show on April 1st, but will certainly consider the St Neots return on May 27..

I enjoyed the show, although it wasn't as good as the one in huntington where burridge won the title (that was the best live wrestling I've seen outside of NOAH/Dragon Gate), but still a laugh.

Just one thing that puzzles me..... Angel teased the moonsault a couple of times, leading me to believe that to be her finisher. She finally hits it (well, botches it, but did land boob first on storm, so that kinda counts) but hurts her knee and loses.

How can someone hitting their own finisher cost them the match?

Also, was the four way announced as single fall at all? I didn't hear a clarification either way, but my friends and I were expecting elimination, so were surprised when it ended so abruptly.

Also, Spud was robbed :p

That's because Dann Read booked the finish!

Dann Read = a mark who thinks he knows wrestling but only put on shows so that he can have a wank over the women wrestlers!

Makes sense to me.

If you think about it, whacking your knees against the mat from that height and at that speed IS gonna hurt [trust me, I trained with Stevie Knight for 6 months in 2005 and smacked my right knee on the canvas doing a cross bodyblock - hurt like fuck and I still have trouble with it to this day] so why couldn't that happen?

RVD always made sure he sold the 5-Star Frog Splash as hurting him as well as his opponent. Benoit delivered a back suplex off the top to 2 Cold Scorpio at SuperBrawl 3 and sold it like he'd hurt himself too.

It does make sense - certainly more sense than the person delivering the move not being hurt at all - and should be thought about more often in my opinion.

That is a ridiculous statement.

I understand this is most likely a disgruntled former worker of Dann's, but absolutely anyone who knows anything about the wrestling business would know that there are certainly MANY other more effective ways to get your rocks off than create a company, buy a customised title, book girls from all over Europe, spend a shit load of time and effort on PR, blah blah.
