What is the longest match, Bell to bell in history?

I'm sure way back in the days there might have been some longer (what with long, tedious matches being half the reason wrestling became entertainment rather than competition.)I just finished reading Ted DiBiase's book and he tells a story about his dad Mike DiBiase and Dory Funk Sr having a Texas Death Match in Amarillo. They knew the town had a cerfew and wrestled until the police showed up and closed the building, sending everyone home.At this point DiBiase and Funk had been wrestling three and a half hours. I think there was a Gotch/Hackenschmidt match that went five and a half hours, but that was probably a shoot so it might not count.Modern era, plenty of people have done 90 minutes. Funk/Brisco was legendary. Flair/Steamboat did it a couple of times. More recently, Punk and Hero did 90 for Ian Rotten maybe 6 or 7 years ago. A few people have done 95 minutes too. Inoki and Saito (I think) did 2+ hours, but don't quote me on that.

Has anyone watched 'Human Weapon'?It's a history channel show, surrounding all manner of martial arts. It's prsented by Jason Chambers, and Bill Duff.My question is this, in the credits they announce Bill Duff as a former 'Professional footballer and wrestler', and I always assumed they just meant collegiate/olympic wrestler. But, on one of the episodes Jason makes a joke about Bill's 'pro-wrestling days'. I tried, admittedly not very hard, to find some information but couldn't. Does anyone know how far his pro-wrestling career went? ...I'm only interested because it seems he played football in the XFL, so was wondering if there was a WWE connection there.

He was trained by Larry Sharpe - The Monster Factory guy responsible for Bam Bam Bigelow. I'm not sure he ever actually had that many matches, and was probably more well known as a Gridiron guy. A really very good show is Human Weapon, by the way - far better than the Discovery Channel's copy "Fight Quest"...

I used to download wrestling from a forum but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called but here's what I can remember:

- The layout featured a red background

- Most files were uploaded on megaupload/rapidhsare

- Mainly concentrated on ROH/Japan/Indys but also gave the latest TNA/WWE releases each week

- I'm pretty sure the url ended in .de

Can anyone remember what this place was called? I've even looked through my old e-mails and can't find my regsitration link or anything

On a side note, I'm trying to get this weeks Impact to see what the fuss is about but can't use torrents as I'm on the work laptop. If anyone can assist there, would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: NEVERMIND! It was the Sledgehammer forums and it's been shut down a long time ago apparently. My search continues!!

Double Edit: Found a browser based torrent client. The website does all the work then sends me the file!! Pretty fucking neat:

Has anyone seen any wrestler other than Sabu perform a triple-jump moonsault?

Its not the same variation as Sabu, but Chris Chetti used to jump from the apron onto the top rope in a corner, from that top rope to the other tope rope in the corner, and then jump from there for a moonsault. He did it pretty nicely and it looked like a great move.He uses it towards the end of this match. Edited by KRS

Yeah, that was one of my favourite moves back then.I remember D'Lo Brown and Super Crazy doing a springboard from the apron over in the corner and hitting a 2nd rope moonsault which was similar too.But besides those and the lionsault, I just realised today I have never seen or heard about anybody other than Sabu ever attempting the Triple-Jump Moonsault.

Did Perry Saturn ever used to do it??I know he did some similar variations in ECW when he was an Eliminator, but I recall reading that he ripped off a lot of Sabu and Taz's stuff when he got to WCW (despite the fucked knee).??

I was browsing through the History of WWE site and noticed that at a MSG show on 1/17/94 there was a Royal Rumble match, won by Owen Hart. Apart from one on Smackdown a few years back, have there been any other non-PPV Royal Rumble matches at all?EDIT: Answering my own question a bit, i've found an 18 man royal rumble match listed on 18/05/94 with Undertaker winning.

I've got a feeling that somewhere along the line I read about a Punk/Hero match that lasted 93mins, but I'm not at all sure on that. The longest Rumble match was 1hr 9mins, but again I'd be willing to bet that a few 'indie classics' have gone longer than that.EDIT: The Punk/Hero match that went 93mins was a 2/3 Falls match. This Wojick interview seems to semi-confirm it: http://wrestlingclothesline.com/Wojcik-Punk.htm Edited by Dingbat
