New Japan

From http://www.puroresufan.com/

They have all fallen at the feet of New Japan fighters, except for one: Masato Tanaka. Now, Yuji Nagata looks to end this conflict with ZERO1-MAX by conquering the ace of ZERO1-MAX; their heavyweight champion, three-in-a-row Fire Festival winner, and undisputed ace of the company. At last, Yuji Nagata and Masato Tanaka go to war on 10/13 at Sumo Hall in Tokyo. Nagata admitted that he is more interested in Keiji Muto and the IWGP Heavyweight Title, but said the fighting with ZERO1 can't be disregarded, and looks to put an end to it, with Tanaka being very much the "last fort" of the company in their war against New Japan. Nagata said Tanaka's emotional strength is his strong point, but that he is weak on the ground, so plans to break Tanaka down technically.

Meanwhile, NO LIMIT now have the unique chance for young lions of winning two titles on the trot. After challenging for the GHC Jr. Tag Team Title in NOAH, they face IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions, Minoru & Devitt, in a match that was originally planned for this tour, but with Minoru on the shelf, it has had to be held off. More matches are likely to be announced in the aftermath of the Kobe World Hall show on the 21st.

Hopefully that's leading up to Sasaki taking the BJW title away from Shadow WX and ending his run of really fucking wretched title defences.

2008.09.06 - Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Kota Ibushi: Just finished watching this and it's probably my favourite match of the year so far. I haven't watched much wrestling this year and have only got back into Puro. My only gripe is that the cameraman no sold an Ibushi moonsault to the outside.

Also watched Morishima vs Sasaki for the GHC title and didn't like this much but the Lifetime of Free Owashi Sumo Stew Decision Battle Royal from Dragon Gate which features: Sasori vs. Cherry vs. Gorgeous Matsuno vs. CHANGO vs. Nobutaka Araya vs. Mango Fukuda vs. "brother" YASSHI vs. Danshoku Dino vs. Onryo vs. Daijiro Matsui vs. Ken Ohka vs. X was ace.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6IO1HXTU Is the Dragon Gate match.

Awful

I love Muto(not MUTA) and he's done an incredible job turning All Japan from a dire mess between 2001-2003 into a really fun product over the last few years but this is one of the most stupid and ego driven title changes i've seen in quite some time. angry.gif

Is Raijin fighting fit after his recent collapse in the ring then?

I'm guessing he's off to TNA at some point after this match also?

I read something about TNA management not knowing anything about Raijin coming over.

Anyway, looks like selfish Muto has his hands full.

Considering the current run of form they're both on, and the heat New Japan Vs Zero-1 has been getting, I expect Tanaka Vs Nagata to be amazing. I'm expecting to love Goto/Bernard, as well.

Even with his brains running out of his head, I still find it hard to give a damn about Tenzan.

Not at all upset to see NO LIMIT with the tag belts, they've been great as a team and working really hard lately. Would have been nice for either of Minoru/Devitt's runs with the belts to be more eventful, but that's juniors, I guess.

Sooooooo, Mutoh retains again. Having put Nakamura, Makabe, Goto and Man Boob down, that leaves Tanahashi as the man most likely to lift the belt, I guess. And they do have the Dragon System Legacy story ready made, there. But it's not like Tanahashi's been on a tear lately, so...Nagata? The war on Zero 1 he just escalated is taking too much of his time up. Bernard? Could be about time, but he's, what? The third guy in a massive stable right now?

They're going to put it on Chono again, aren't they? :'(

No, you're science fiction creatures, each and every one of you. You know what you are? You're grinders. While you wait for the real future you think you're owed, you fuck around with your bodies like they were virtual world avatars. You add things to them, you make them better. You treat them like characters to be improved and you grind them. There's no future coming. No-one thinks they owe you shit. You're waiting for a day that'll never fucking dawn.
