Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 1, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) Has Goldberg showed up yet? Thats the BIG rumour I've heard. Goldberg and Takeshi Morishima were in late negotiations on Sunday night. Edited March 1, 2012 by The_BarbarIAN
DeanoTheGame
I've watched every single episode of NXT. All 5 seasons. I don't know whether to be ashamed or proud. Ā Redemption started to get really fucking shit when it was just Bateman, Titus and Young trading wins week after week, but the past few months - since the whole Bateman-Maxine thing started - it's been great. Tyson Kidd is ace on there too. Curtis is one of the best heels in the company at the moment. Ā The only negative is that Titus is still fucking there. Piss off you cunt. xear
Shouldnt it have spoilers seeing as it hasn't aired here yet?
spotlightmagnet1
I've been watching NXT for a while now, at least 3 monthsand I think it's quality. Getting rid of Michael Cole and putting Regal on commentary was a smart move (for all brands) and there talent has been good. I even like Tyler Reks who I used to despair watching. Ā The only thing I didn't like was several times we saw Matt Striker's locker room and he was always playing the guitar. Why? Can't he be arsed to watch? NEWM
Shouldnt it have spoilers seeing as it hasn't aired here yet? Ā Man up, or get out the NXT thread. Like the show itself, this thread exists in universe by itself too. If you read about Goldberg's debut before it airs over here, you'd bloody better spoil it. ItsClobberingTime
I want to do so many nasty things to Maxine. She's by far the hottest on the roster because she's evil. I mean I like Kaitlyn and I have since she turned up ages ago, but she's not nearly as slutty in my head. Ā It's so good, they should dedicate the first hour of Wrestlemania to NXT. NEWM
It's so good, they should dedicate the first hour of Wrestlemania to NXT. Ā I honestly want D-Young & Titus to get inserted into a multi-man Tag Title match to the deafening bewildered indifference of 80,000 people. Speaking of the Main Event of Wrestlemania, Bateman prepped for this week's show the same way the stars do: Ā
ClassicsGuy
I wish they would move Regal to Smackdown, so that he could replace Booker T on commentary. An announce team of Matthews & Regal on Smackdown would be a million times better than the current situation. Ā Regal is wasted on the inconsquential NXT. It's great for us in the U.K. - we get the show on actual tv, and we can still enjoy it. But for those in the U.S., they don't get it on tv and thus couldn't give a crap about it and have zero knowledge of it. Hardly anyone watches it on WWE.com. The Youtube views for the NXT show on the official WWE channel are barely in 4 figures, which is embarrassing for a company with between 2m to 4.5m weekly tv viewers. Ā The old saying about a tree falling in the woods with no-one around to witness it springs to mind. Edited March 1, 2012 by ClassicsGuy
Rave
I love NXT. I'm glad somebody else noticed just how good Johnny Curtis is as a heel. Pulls off the creep so well. The only problem is the awesomeness of Curt Hawkins is saddled with the waste of space that is Tyler Reks.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted March 1, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 1, 2012 NXT is great, I've said so for ages. Bateman and Curtis are the obvious standout stars at the moment, while Kaitlyn and Maxine are both better characters than any of the Divas on Raw or SmackDown. Ā The thing I love the most about the series though, is that it's been going on for a fucking whole year now and the prize for winning it was supposed to be an opportunity to be a contestant on the NEXT SERIES OF NXT!! Obviously that concept went out of the window ages ago, but nothing was ever said about that. Ā Titus is still utter wank, mind. There was an amazing moment recently when he turned heel during an episode that Michael Cole happened to be making a surprise return to commentary on. Cole rinsed him for his promo skills, literally laughing at him as he stammered his way through his lines.
Forrest
NXT is fabulous, and it's all down to William Regal. I can never overstate just how good Regal is on NXT. His commentary is something that you barely see on wrestling announcers, he's genuinely funny. His self-deprecation and general sniping comments is A-grade. Ā Trent Baretta, Yoshi Tatsu and Tyson Kidd are the best wrestlers on TV too. NXT is the new Superstars, and I love it.
NEWM
I love Titus, mainly because of his association with D-Young. Their feud was impossibly terrible, week after week after week. Then after the complete shitfest blow off, his heel turn promo was probably the most awful thing I've ever seen. As Arch said, getting to watch that to the soundtrack of Michael Cole absolutely pissing himself raised more smiles from me than just about anything the WWE could try and book. That whole episode was full of it actually, they really blew the lid off everything in NXT 100. Ā He's great now though, because him and Young are friends for no reason and starting to unconvincingly kick some arse. Young's an odd case all by himself too, because he furiously insists that NXT is "his show" and promotes the fact he main evented Summerslam once. He's happily trapped in the bermuda triangle of wrestling and yet still bringing fury that other people dare to find work there. Ā The whole thing's ludicrous. I LOVE it. I love Regal, but his style of commentary only works for me because it's a D-show and he can get away with not taking it seriously, talking bollocks, dropping silly references and generally pissing around with Josh Matthews. I don't think he'd work on SmackDown.
Joey Joe Joe Jr
I've said it time and time again, but NXT S3 was the best thing WWE was putting out at that point. Seriously. Ā Been skimming through NXT in recent weeks because Kaitlyn is awesome, but I enjoy Hawkins and Kidd on there too, as well as Regal on commentary. The wedding segment was terrific stuff.
