Professor Paul's Bin
Kind of an odd title for a topic but off the top off your head what moments can you remember where you've thought something was gonna happen in wrestling where it's just been damn right foolish, stupid and retarded. Our imaginations can always drift us away into a right mark but share some. I remember when... Â - I thought Triple H/Nash from Bad Blood was gonna have a massive bump - Thinking Jericho/Triple H from Judgment Day 2002 was gonna be to the same calibe as Foley/Taker HIAC - When I thought Taker/Foley HIAC was over after the first bump. I was convinced. - Chanting "Fuck you Eric" at a TNA House show in Manchester 2010 when he faced Big Rob after a few too many pints. - Not knowing the IMPACT Zone had one side which had a tier (which faces the hard camera) for about a year. Especially when they had 2 trons. - Thinking Lex Luger or Goldberg was coming to TNA in 2010. - When I thought Maven was really good in 2002-2003. Oh how I was wrong - Thinking Swagger's WHC title win in 2010 was brilliant for around 2 minutes. - JoMo's Moonsault with a ladder at WM24. I went nuts. Couldn't believe it and was convinced he was gonna win. - Getting told to shut up by a kids dad for chanting "We want refunds" at a WWE House show - November 2010. Â If the question doesn't make sense call me a twat and close the thread. There's a few off the top of my head and I sound like a right plonker. Professor Paul's Bin
Embarrassing is probably the wrong word. Abit idiotic and abit marky. I said on the topic I think I've worded the question completely fucking wrong
Vamp
- Getting told to shut up by a kids dad for chanting "We want refunds at a WWE House show" - November 2010. Â That's a hell of a mouthful.
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted February 19, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 19, 2012 Yeah, I thought that it would be like the time Flair's music came on in an eau seu hip club in Highgate, and I stood up at the end and "wooooooooo!"'d, only to find that it had gone into total silence. Â - I thought that the Sniper/Recon team would go a LONG way. Like, future of tag teaming long way.
King Pitcos
I thought they'd never turn CM Punk heel and have him feud with drug-advocating babyfaces. Â I was 100% certain that Rock was winning at WrestleMania 2000, to the point where on the Friday, I even tried to hatch a plan with my friends to come in on Monday and try and convince a Skyless lad at school that Triple H had won. Â - Getting told to shut up by a kids dad for chanting "We want refunds at a WWE House show" - November 2010. Â That's a hell of a mouthful. Aye, fifteen syllables. I can't even figure out what chant you'd base it on -- "you're going home in a fucking ambulance" seems to be the closest.
Sixteen Degrees
My most embarrasing moment was when I was caught on camera at an IPW:UK show running for my life just before Zack & Marty suicide dived. One of then hit the guy sitting next to me, so there was a little justification, but it was still embarrasing.

I have quite a few throughout 2000-2002 then, one that springs to mind is thinking that Goldberg would come out to help Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 17- due to a shit report on one of the dirtsheets. Professor Paul's Bin
As many of you know it was a "We want refunds". My mistake.  The comment regarding Goldberg at WM17 sounds perfectly believable. Just imagine if they did. It would have been brilliant. Shame they did such an awful job when they finally bought Goldberg in 2003.
neil is brill
"you're going home in a fucking ambulance" Â Would love to hear this during the Kane/Cena match tonight.
Hyperion
If I discount thinking certain WWE Superstars would be huge and then they flopped (Sean O'Haire type guys) then I can't think of owt. Â This thread needs Richie Freebird.

textonly
My favourite match I ever saw live was Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena at a Raw taping in '07, I think. I was maybe at the height of my brief anti-Cena phase and after going 45 minutes or so, Shawn won and I totally freaked out. I punched the air, literally jumped around for joy and cheered like crazy. I completely lost myself and it was the most I've ever been into a match, even though I was 25 at the time. About three seconds later I felt really dumb because somehow I'd convinced myself it was a title match and Shawn had just beaten Cena for the belt. Not the case. I'd just gone nuts, probably more than I ever had in front of the friends I was with, over a basically meaningless TV match. I'm always really embarrassed when I think back to that... even though it's still my favourite wrestling memory.
Paid Members marc2j Posted February 20, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted February 20, 2012 Most embarassing for me is we're in orlando for WM24, and Im at the Doubletree as I was on the package. We got back in late from 'Mania, an din the lobby is clearly Matt Morgan and some other guy. Â So I schmooze up to Matt Morgan and he quite graciously gives me and my brother an autogaph. Â Then he says 'why dont you ask my buddy for an autograph too?'. But he muffles himself as not to be too loud. Â Me being a dick, I dont hear him and say 'im sorry say that again' to which he repeats several times. Â Morgan then gets frustrated and leaves taking his friend with him. Â Its only as he walks out as says 'wait up Johnny' that I realise his friend is Johnny Stamboli, and Ive basically ignored him completely. Â In my defence, he was wrestling as Rellik at the time, and hes not a massively recongisable face. Still felt like an utter douche though. Professor Paul's Bin
Another daft memory I remember was at a TNA House Show in Manchester 2010. Â Me and friend were pissed after the show queing for a cash machine. As we were in line I turned around to make eye contact with a big fella so I went to my mate and said "Fuck! He look's well like Big Rob" and the big fella behind me replied with "I wish" and chuckled. I turned around to realize it was Doug Williams. Felt like a right twat. Â Williams was a really nice guy though. We had a chat queing up and some photos. After about a 5 minute wait for the cash machine. I got to the front and completely forgot I had been queing for the cash machine so walked out of the way. Then realizing I needed to go back in line I pushed back and some girls started kicking off. Williams got involved and said "Settle down ladies". Top notch guy.
